Plain-language answers to what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
This website is run by Real Estate Red Flags, New Delhi, India (“we”). For anything about your information, contact RealEstateRedFlags@gmail.com or +91 92662 31862. This address also acts as our grievance contact for privacy matters.
What we collect
- When you use the form: your name, a phone number and/or email, your message, and any optional details you choose to add (builder, project, city, issue type, an amount band and a payment mode).
- When you contact us on WhatsApp, phone or email: whatever you send through those services. WhatsApp and email providers also process this under their own terms.
- Analytics — only if you allow it: anonymous usage data (pages viewed, device type, approximate region) through Google Analytics, with IP anonymisation.
- On your device only: your theme choice, your analytics choice and checklist ticks, stored in your browser’s local storage. They never reach us.
We do not ask for, and you should not send, PAN, Aadhaar, bank account or card numbers. Document upload is not offered on this site.
Why we use it
Only to reply to you, to point you to relevant records and rights, and — if you ask — to keep helping with your matter. We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form or by contacting us. You can withdraw consent at any time.
What we never do
- We never publish what you send. An individual account is published only with your separate, written consent, after redaction and legal review.
- We never sell your information or share it with builders, brokers or advertisers.
Who can see it
Only the people at Real Estate Red Flags who handle enquiries. If the form is connected to our secure spreadsheet and inbox, messages are stored in our Google Workspace account. If you ask us to introduce you to a lawyer or other adviser, we share your details with them only after you agree.
How long we keep it
Form messages are kept for 12 months from our last contact with you, then deleted, unless you ask us to keep helping or the law requires otherwise. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Your choices and rights
- Ask what information we hold about you, and for a copy.
- Ask us to correct or update it.
- Ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent.
- Complain to us first at the address above; we aim to respond within 7 working days.
We aim to handle personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its rules as they come into force.
Analytics and cookies
Google Analytics stays switched off unless you choose “Allow” in the analytics prompt. If you allow it, Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits anonymously. You can change your choice at any time: .
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to messages is limited to the people who handle them. No system is perfectly secure, which is one reason we ask you not to send identity or bank numbers.
Children
This site is meant for adults buying property. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, say so on the corrections page.
